2008 UPA High School Eastern Championships

The 2008 High School Eastern Ultimate Championships are a brought to you by the Ultimate Players Association.  This is the top tournament of the year for high school Ultimate teams in the Eastern United States and Canada. 16 Open teams and 12 Girls teams will come together on May 10th and 11th, 2008, in Pittsburgh, PA, to showcase high school Ultimate at its best.

Columbia (Open) and Paideia (Girls) Win Titles!

2008 UPA High School Eastern Championships came to a close Sunday, May 11 in Pittsburgh, PA with Columbia (Maplewood, NJ) and Paideia (Atlanta, GA) earning their first Open and Girls titles, respectively. Be sure to get all of the details on the results page.

Seedings and Schedule!

The seedings and game schedule have been posted for the 2008 UPA High School Eastern Championships.  While both of last year's champs are back (Amherst - Girls, Pennsbury - Open), neither is seeded first, and there is probably more parity in both divisions than at any previous HS Easterns. It looks like the upcoming weekend will be an exciting one for the players and fans of high school Ultimate from across the East Coast and Mid-West. VC Ultimate Awarded Official Merchandiser Contract

VC Ultimate has been awarded the official merchandiser contract for the 2008 UPA High School Eastern Championships. The UPA and VC Ultimate are excited to be teaming up again to support Youth Ultimate and look forward to making HS Easterns a memorable event for participants and fans.

Bids Announced

Bids for the 2008 UPA High School Eastern Ultimate Championships have been announced. Teams applied from more states than ever, making team selection for the Open Division very difficult. A record number of Girls teams applied, making this the largest Girls Division in the tournament's history. In both divisions, the strength of teams and the geographic range look to make this a very exciting event. Best of luck to all the teams, and thanks to all the players and coaches who continue to grow and support high school Ultimate.
